What is Perimenopause & Menopause?
Every woman will go through menopause, it’s a natural part of life. But how you move through it can vary widely. The more you understand, the more empowered you’ll feel to take control of your body, mind, and wellbeing.
Perimenopause is the transitional phase before menopause.
It typically begins between ages 40–44, but it can start earlier or later depending on the individual.
During this time, estrogen and other hormone levels start to fluctuate, which can cause a range of physical, emotional, and mental symptoms, even while your period continues (though often irregularly).
Common symptoms of perimenopause include:
- Hot flashes or night sweats
- Irregular periods
- Weight gain (especially around the middle)
- Mood swings, anxiety or depression
- Trouble sleeping
- Brain fog or memory lapses
- Decreased muscle tone or energy
- Fatigue and low motivation
Menopause
Menopause is defined as the point when you haven’t had a period for 12 consecutive months, typically happening around age 51 on average.
After that, you’re considered postmenopausal. Hormone levels have significantly declined by this stage, and symptoms may continue, though often at a different intensity.
Natural Ways to Ease Symptoms
Many symptoms of peri and menopause can be reduced, or even prevented, with simple but powerful lifestyle changes. Our 28-Day Reboot Program is built around these very principles:
Strength Training
Maintaining muscle mass helps balance hormones, improves metabolism, and supports bone health—crucial during this stage of life.
Hormone-Smart Nutrition
