A few years off playing regular sport, a less than healthy diet and, to be honest, some pretty heavy boozing saw my fitness fall to all-time lows and my weight to all-time highs. I was determined to sort it out and started a campaign to get myself in shape. A few months of hitting the gym most days barely changed a thing. Then I met Jack, and for a while whenever he would see me slaving away he would offer technique or exercise advice that really seemed to boost my workouts. Following a few months of these pearls, I decided to book a course of sessions – the best decision I could have made. Within just a few weeks the difference was obvious – my fitness dramatically improved and Jack helped me lose 15kg of body fat and gained 3kg of muscle mass. Having someone there to motivate you, to educate you, to push you through those last few reps and keep you going when you might else give-up was imperative to get me into the shape I wanted, and to get my body fat down from 27% to 13%. It’s because of Jack’s personality and knowledge that his sessions have always been varied, full of banter and an absolute pleasure to attend. And why I consider Jack to be no longer just my PT, but also a good mate!
